Got the Orange Box next to me on my desk, played TF2 like it was my bread and water for about 4 years and loved it.

The Soldier was fun to play and, of course, his voice was perfectly fitting for the character. I just (re)watched the 'Meet the Soldier' and 'Expiration Date' Valve CGIs, good stuff. On top of that I also love the Star Fox franchise, but I wasn't aware that Mr. May also voiced Peppy, that's new to me. It shows how talented he was.

He will be missed. May he Rest in Peace.

Also, this pandemic can go to hell.

And also teleporting bread all he wants now.

Many people don't know that Expiration Date used two voice actors for Soldier: Rick May and Nolan North. Some of the screaming voice lines were not Mr. May.

Ah I see, didn't know that. But Mr. May is probably the one who voiced Soldier when he told the Engineer he'd been doing nothing but teleport bread for 3 days (at around the 10:25 mark).

Yeah I think so. Valve brought in another guy to do the screaming voice lines since Rick May had a cold (or something). Mighta been his throat cancer at work, don't know. It took a lot to bring him down. Cancer, a stroke, and finally Covid-19.
