TLC had a one hour thing on him last night. I am not sure if his growth has been stunted much by weights...I suspect a lot of the supposed stunting is myth, but I am not sure in regards to him.

Supposedly at 8 years old (he's now 12) he could bench 210, though I am not sure how...he's well built for a kid, but still he has very little muscle in reality, though I guess his leverages are good for such a short person. I see vague references on google about him in Guiness, but their site has no mention of him.

One of the doctors on the show said he thought richard must be on roids, because you need testosterone to grow muscle, and normally that does not kick in until at least 10. I think that's dubious, given that five year olds have muscle :) In reality nobody has ever done this with a kid, so I am not so sure he couldn't have done it all legitimately. When he's not flexing he doesn't actually look all that big.

that is pretty crazy...I was wanting to catch that on Sunday night when they were first showing it...but ended up getting distracted with a few other things.

It will be interesting how tall he actually grows...but then again...how do they know how tall he should have been.

I think I saw this kid on the howard stern show. Doesn't act like a 12 year old, IMO, but what 12 year old lives for pumping iron?

There was a kid in my class in grade school who was like this, he started lifting weights at age 8 or 9. By 8th grade, he looked like the kid in the article, it was weird, Mr. Muscle at 12 years old. He's in his 40's now, still muscular, but he was always short (not sure if this was due to the weightlifting or genetics).
