Watching the rerun now. he is either drunk or on pills or something! he's wired, but his speech is slurred also.

 
lol, i missed it, but richard lewis is always a great interview. conan's interview with him a few months back was probably one of the funniest things ive ever seen on that show. when he talks about shaq and 'lil shaq', it was hilarious. the interview was so funny, that when conan did the claymation episode, he included that interview in there. johnny knoxville and even conan had to get up and walk around and couldnt look at the camera because they were in tears. prolly watch the rerun of the daily show with him tonight, see if he brings the same energy.
 
Well he is old enough to be senile, so we can just pass it off to old age. If it wasn't that he was definately on something.

It wasn't funny at all- just strange. He kept talking and made no sense.
 
OMFG! I freaken HATE richard lewis. The thing is so unfunny. I mean, the letter H is funnier that richard lewis. For a while, he hosted some stand-up comic show on Comedy Central (which was pretty good), and man, he sucked so bad it fails description. I mean, he was terrible. They coulda let folks in for free then charged them to leave, that's how bad this guy is. His best line of his entire career was the Boku commercials, when he says "Belching is for babies." It don't get any better than that for him. That line is kinda funny, and that is why it is the highlight of his career. He musta done some truely nasty things to get into the business, things I wouldn't post here. But he musta did them in spades.
 
It occurs to me that the only stuff I saw him do was the Comedy Central show, so maybe I gave him short shrift - maybe he had his retarded sister writing the material, and he was stoned while doing the bit. I dunno. But the material during that time, and the timing during that time sucked so bad, that *I* could have done better. Not by much mind you (I have had my tiny audience in tears, ableit briefly), but yeah better. And maybe a good bit better.
 
He's going to be on Conan here in a minute (comedy central re-run of last night's NBC broadcast), curious to see if he's as fu@ked up as he was on Stewart. Anyone catch it last night?
 
He doesn't seems as bad as when he was on Daily Show, but still sounds like his speech is slurred.
...even brought of the fact that he was near 10 years of sobriety. I don't buy it!
