Rice: It's Whats for Dinner!

My girlfriend just recently introduced me to the wonders of a rice cooker and now I eat rice daily. What are some of the favorite recipes out there in ATOT land? I have been going back and forth between soy sauce and butter with salt/pepper.

Dude, Uncle Ben's is the best white rice. Ever. I've tried those crazy Asian brands at the store, and they have so much starch on them, it's like eating pudding compared to Uncle Ben's.

Steamed Uncle Ben's with real butter on it? Oh, yeah. Add some black eyed peas and jalapenos on top, you've got a 1st class meal.

I tried that, but I'm not sure I did it right, because it didn't make much difference.

I don't eat much rice though, and I like the texture of Uncle Ben's.

actually japanese fat-grain rice is really good, just sticky enough to be edible w/o a fork, and a great flavor

Long grain rice is the best.. Basmati or whatever, if it's the same thing. I don't like sticky white rice.

Basmati rice with some sort of spicy type chicken in it is awesome.

Meat being main, and rice being side dish is why Americans are so fat and have to STOP eating carbohydrates to get normal.

lack of excercise and overeating in general are why americans are so fat. it has nothing to do with what you consider your main course.

My daughters both said "Noooo, we like sticky rice."

I still haven't cooked brown rice right in my cooker, it's supposed to soak in the cooker for an hour before you turn it on?
