RIAA suing dead person.

Hell if they are going to sue 80 yr old grannies why not go all the way 😉

Sounds like a bad case of DiaRIAA

A Recording Industry Association of America spokesman said Thursday that Walton was likely not the smittenedkitten it's searching for.

and you know what the kicker is? Had the defendant been alive, they wouldnt have fessed up to their mistakes and still sued her. fvuking RIAA.

Frankly, you should be cowering in fear, not laughing.

If the RIAA's due diligence is so poor that they'll accuse a dead woman of file sharing who's never owned a computer, what's to stop them from mistakenly accusing you? I assure you that you would have a much more difficult time proving your innocence than this woman's daughter since you do, in fact, own (or at least use) a computer connected to the internet.

Likely not the smittenedkitten they're looking for? What the hell? How did they get her name in the first place?

"Our evidence gathering and our subsequent legal actions all were initiated weeks and even months ago," said RIAA spokesman Jonathan Lamy. "We will now, of course, obviously dismiss this case."

well, duhhh...dip fvcking sh1ts

But the American Sheeple are happy about that.

That is until they are directly affected. Too bad, they get what they deserve.

"Likely not"....??? It would just kill these assh0les to actually admit they were wrong wouldn't it? "Likely", as if there's still some chance they might have the right woman. Jackass

Don't lawsuits cost money? So are they trying to make up for lost profits by wasting more money? Seems so dumb to me.

Just more proof that we need to reign them in.

Pity that the Government is controlled by business. Then maybe something would be done about them. Sad part is if the women was still alive she would still been sued and would had to pay for either an attorney or to settle it. EVEN though she has done NOTHING wrong.

Disgust for the RIAA and the Government for letting them do it grows.

heh waste of more money? dumb? hah not even.

The sue you for 10k a song. BUt before it goes to court they offer to settle for 3k wich just happens to be far less then a attorney would cost.

So most people settle instead of takeing a chance on loseing the court case and paying a lot more.

The RIAA is makeing a ton of money. EVEN though i think how they are going about it should be against the law.
