How can they do that when IP addresses are always changing? I know ours do not stay the same in the dorms.

Not all schools use DHCP. Of course, I don't know how those school networks are setup.

Some could even be set up to use DHCP, but register an IP to a MAC address.

My school stopped logging IPs due to the RIAA and the recockulous letters they sent us.

Is http://www.allofmp3.com also legal in the US? You pay for the songs, it is legal in Russia (where the site is based) as well as here in the Netherlands.
