Just installed a 3.5" rheobus on my system. I'm just playin around with it so far.. so I've only plugged in my intake and exhaust fans at the moment and it's working really well.
But I'm wondering about a few things...

Can my system some how read the RPM's off the rheobus and if so, with what software can I do it with? (anything besides motherboard monitor.. I don't like it)

How safe is this with fans? I'm assuming adjusting the fan speed all the time can't be too healthy for the fans.

I use a Vantec Aeroflow with TMD fan on my CPU.. do you think this kind of fan is compatible with a rheobus?

btw, this is the rheobus I got

I have a 6-switch baybus setup (see link in sig) and they're all connected with 4pin -> 2 wire connectors. They do not support RPM monitoring, you would need to get a DOC5 or something to get fan control and fan monitoring for 3pin fans. Any fan that will hook up to your rheobus can be run, as long as it does not exceed the maximum wattage, which one fan shouldnt. I have my 4 panel fans hooked up to 4 different switches, my two 40cfm (80 total) exhaust blowers hooked up to one switch, and my cpu fan hooked up to the last switch. When I took that picture, this was not the case. My switches support 6w ea, and I am sure the rheobus has a higher limit. I play with my fan speeds all the time, it's like watching a little kid play with his legos. The only thing I want to figure out is how to be able to control my fan speed on my cheapy PSU.
