She is talking about going to some tech school thing at a hospital, I don't like tech school I like college and I told her that, she is now all pissed because I don't agree with her 100%....she says I think she is stupid because she is looking at tech school, I never said anything remotely close to that. Ah....its so fun, do all girls get so pissed so easily?

Well... all you can do is love her and reasure her that you don't think so. Sit her down -or whatever it takes to get her full attention- and tell her how you actually feel.

Why, yes. They do. Of course, I wouldn't generalize and label all girls as the ones who can easily become angry. But I have witnessed it so many times.

It wouldn't be quite so bad if your tongue wouldn't hang out.

And yes, women do have a tendency towards this.

I think it's a side effect of having breasts.

Viper GTS <-- Only kidding ;)

It's one thing to react to being legitimately hurt. It's another thing to assume something or read too much into it that Deeko didn't mean and get offended at it, then get pissed.

I don't really see why a girlfriend would be hurt by you not liking her plan for tech school. If anything it was a oppinion and he was only trying to help her out.

Haha, I'd say you deserve it. Don't you know about the secret guys' "whoa"??? Its where you say it in your mind and the position the "whoa" came from is automatcially broadcast telepathically too all other guys in the area.

Ugh...she is now saying that I'm being such a d*ck...she asked why I don't like tech school, I gave her my reasons, it seemed to piss her off more...I also told her this is just my opinions, that I want her to do whatever is best for her, that seemed to somehow piss her off too?

Might be that time of the month. Don't really see why else she'd react the way she did.

Actually, it sounds to me like she was looking for your support in something she wants to do and didn't find that.

That's possible...I just don't like lying, I'm not gonna be like oh wow that sound great when I don't really think that, and she knows that I am perfectly honest about everything.

It's not a matter of lying. It's just a matter of seeing things from her perspective and if it's what she wants to do, you don't have to tell her how you don't like tech schools, just tell her that if it's what she really wants to do, then you'll support her the whole way through.

You don't have to share your opinion of her choice to go to a tech school with her, just let her know that you'll support her in whatever she does.

Of course this should only apply to certain things. If it's truly a decision that's going to hurt her severely, then you step in and voice your opinion. Otherwise, keep your mouth. :) Sometimes people just need to know that you're there for them.

Now she won't talk to me, this is really hurting me, I seriously feel like I'm gonna throw up.

pulse8, I suppose your right...but its not like I said I don't like tech school don't go, I told her I want her to do whatever is best for her, she then proceeded to ask me why I don't like tech school...nothing I could say to that would have not pissed her off with the way she was acting...

:(:confused::(

How did she know that you don't like tech schools? If she asked you specifically what you thought of them and you told her, she shouldn't get mad when she gets an answer she doesn't like. If she mentioned that she wanted to go to one and you said you don't like them, then I can understand her being upset, but she may be taking it a bit too far at this point.

Either way, it'd probably just be best to leave her alone for a while. It may have to do with more than just the tech school. It could be a symbol of something else that she's feeling and that's why it hurt her when you told her you didn't like it.

If you don't mind my asking, how old are you guys?

I think Pulse8 might be on to something.... and, just to add a little more to the thread; communication between men & women is always wrought with danger :) But, a good friend of mine sort of explained the core issue (generalized, of course)..

Men's communication goals are to have their opinions/arguments heard.
Women's communication goals are to simply be listened to (usually without judgement).

It sounds like that might have happened here - she just wanted you to listen and give your support, and you wanted your true opinion to be heard. I don't know how many times I've repeated this cycle w/ my gf, and yes, she gets very testy when it happens, too :(. But, just keep working through it, and remember that, unless she specifically asks for your opinion, she probably doesn't want it. Good luck!!

And yeah, you might to just let the steam cool for a bit, then talk later when you are both a little less heated & emotional.

I can get pissed off pretty easily but I think it would take more than that to make me angry.

no matter what any girl tries to tell you, remember this truth I'm about to speak.

All girls are completely self-centered and self-absorbed. They all care about themselves 100 times more than they care about anything else. They think the world revolves around them and that everyone else should accomodate them at all points. Rather than trying to treat girls like actualy human beings, it's better to just humor them and try to not anger them too much. And because girls are completely irrational you can't expect to make them happy very often. Since one day something that makes her happy will the next day piss her off. And lastly remember that girls hate it when their man is happy and not with her. Anything that makes a man happy, his girl must destroy or remove from his life for her to be content.

I say we should never have done that whole sufferage thing, before then women were so much more docile and complacent.
