RGB out to single RCA video in?

I thought this would be easy but now I'm not so sure.

I want to connect a projector's "RGB out" to a small TV that only has a single video input (yellow jack) available to use. The "RGB out" is a VGA-type jack (15 pins in 3 rows).

Don't need any sound on the TV, and actually the quality of the picture is irrelevant. All I am doing is monitoring what would be coming through the projector if I have the projector output blanked. Even a black and white picture would be adequate.

So I started looking for a VGA male to single RCA jack male cable but there doesn't seem to be any such thing.

Two questions:
1. Are the signals even compatible? Is the reason there's no such cable because a converter of some type would be needed?

2. I did find VGA male to 3-wire RCA video. If I connected just one of the 3 wires, could I get a picture?

Thanks in advance.

No the signals are not compatible, you need something like this. If your projector has USB you can plug it into that to power it otherwise you'd need to find like something like the HTC phone charger or Griffon iTouch/iPhone chargers that are an AC transformer to female USB-A recepticle

OK, thanks a lot. All this equipment is right next to the PC so I can probably power it from the PC's USB port.
