Normally to calibrate a TV, you need a pair of blue filter glasses (to adjust color and tint, like in the THX optimizer). With more advanced calibration, you can get red and green filters as well to adjust the RGB colors individually as well.

Now, on my TV at home, it has these built in with the TV (pretty sweet, right?). I just turn on the filter in the video settings, just like I'd put on the glasses.

I'm wondering if there's some way to do this with a PC...like, software or something I can do to give me a similar filter (for any OS). I need to calibrate someone's projector, as the colors are noticeably off. I have a calibration disc, just no filters to go with it.

If anyone could help me out, that would be great.

Edit: Really, I just need some way to easily calibrate the Color, Tint, and individual RGB values on a PC...preferably free as well. These settings will be put on the projector, just like you'd calibrate a TV.

People who do color calibration use hardware. I have to have my monitors calibrated because I work with color. If you really want to do it right you need the hardware.

The spyder is probably the cheapest way to do it. There are better calibrators but this one is good enough for most home users.
You can use it with your pc monitor and televisions. Projectors can also be done if you get creative.

The spyderTV specifically for TV & projectors.

I'm really not looking for anything hardware based, considering I can do non-hardware calibration on a TV. The colors are very off on the projector, so I'm just looking to make them more natural...not perfect.
