RG6 - Outdoor / indoor

Its been a while since I looked at these things.. couldn't find the answers on google.

Are all RG6 weather/water proof ? I got a case of "indoor" cables but not sure if they're rated to be run outside.

Just want to know before I replace the antenna.. ill wait and get the right ones if they're not all weather/water proof..

I am using compression plug so not worry about that.

I'm pretty sure they're all good for outdoors. Be sure to have a weather boot covering the connection to the antenna though.

You need to make sure it is rated for UV protection, it will say on the cable if it is. If not the insulation will become brittle over time. If it is to be buried it needs to be rated direct burial or it again will break down.

Good to know.. ill check when I get home.. if not ill hook it up for now and order some uv outdoor rated cable. The antenna I got came with boots.. good thing for that..
