rFactor problems

Hello I started this thread because I get flashy graphics and sudden peromance drops in rFactor. Now I know this is mainly down to my ancient PC.

S478 P4 Northwood 2.6 Ghz
Asrock P4i65G
2x512MB DDR400
Club 3D X800 Pro 256MB

When playing online, I ALT-TAB'ed and checked task manager. I had only 50MB of free memory left(this is when over 15 people are in the server), but the hard drive light was busy so I tought my RAM isn't adequate.

I have managed to find 2 sticks of Apacer 1GB DDR400 RAM costing 38.10 each.
I know it sounds pointless but I can not afford to build a new PC.

Online play tends to be more demanding than just doing single-player. Try turning down your graphics settings on the game a bit, it should work better.

You could upgrade the RAM but yes, it won't help much. But if you want to get more memory you could do better.

I have tried the lowest possible settings. DX7, 800x600, no AA or AF, all textures set to low and effects off yet still I get the same result.

Ummm dude sorry to say you need some serious upgrades, turn to a life of crime that is how I fuel my system upgrades.
