RF Interference Strangeness

So I notice that directly in front of my desk\keyboard tray\LCD monitor there's a static spot. I can move my head in and out of it and here it fizz every time... THis is w/ Sennheiser RS85 wirelesss RF headphones. I know that certain things cause interference, like when you get a major power conduit between you and the base... But the base is no more than 2 feet from me, yet I have this wierd static spot right in the center of my setup.

My surround speakers are turned off as well.... I always thought LCD monitors made less emissions and whatnot than a CRT... Any possible idea of what could be causing this?
