Rewatching Police Adademy as an Adult

Mahoney is the hero and Lt. Harris is a super dick.

As as adult:
Mahoney is an irresponsible freeloading loser. Lt. Harris is just doing what he can do instill some discipline into these slackers and turn them into good cops.

Nah, Harris was too worried about his appearance to actually care if the cops were any good. He just wanted to boot the slackers instead of properly training them. Lazy selfish poop head.

Watched abut 5 minutes of it yesterday, made me wonder if that or Stripes came out first.

I saw about ten minutes of the one with Ron Perlman in it where he invents tetris.

Still made me laugh in a childish way.

I watched meatballs at 4 am when on painkillers a few weeks ago and man it had me cracking up.

I've never actually watched any Police Academy movie, however I tried to watch Short Circuit again for the first time in about 20 years... yikes, that movie has aged badly... "coloured people are funny when they talk!"... <slow clap, followed by tumbleweed>

Police Academy was actually shot up here in Toronto.

The used U of T, a local college and a popular market neighborhood for a lot of the location shoots.

In fact, 4 of my buddies actually had some bit speaking / extra parts in it .....it was a real hoot for the 5 of us to go to the theater and actually see them up there on the big screen !!

Police Academy 2&3 were the best.

Bobcat Goldthwait is the best part of the show, tho Micheal Winslows sound effects are pretty good too.

And nothing could ever top Hightower taking care of the fight at the blue oyster bar.

80's Kim Cattrall was epic

Sorry. Leslie Easterbrook was much better looking.
Lt Valeris wasnt the best looking vulcan in star trek, nor was she the best oookling cop in police academy...
