Revolving Desktops?

I saw my teacher using his PowerBook where he had a cool "revolving cube" as his desktop - each side of the cube was a separate desktop. To switch desktops that cube would rotate to the next side. Does anyone know what software does that? Right now I'm running Tiger.

Sounds an awful lot like Compiz to me. If you're not familiar, it is an awesome Linux app that does all kinds of desktop effects. There is no OSX version that I know of, and outside of X11 windows there's really no way it could work in OSX even if there was a port. Could be some type of look alike program for Mac, or it is very possible that what you saw was actually Ubuntu skinned to look like OSX. I've seen some amazing skinning jobs where you can hardly tell the difference.

The software is called VirtueDesktops. It really only runs in Tiger, which works out well for you. Since Leopard introduced Spaces, the dev of VirtueDesktops has since stopped making it, but the older version are still available. Give it a whirl and let us know.

Dang looks like Chaoticpinoy beat me to it. I just enabled fast user switching today and remember this topic.
