I notice they both have models that appeal.......(to me).......and I realized they were both Italian, yet Revo seemingly tries to sell itself as "set apart" from the crowd with their "innovation", yet they're both Luxottica.
You are (errrr........were) actually correct. I didn't think about it at first since all the Rayban's I've been looking at lately say "made in Italy" on the inside, but now that you said that, I looked it up & looks like Luxottica bought 'em back in '99.......
Don't know if this is still the case, but the original Revo's gimmick was that they used the same shielding as NASA space suit visors (obviously with a lighter tint)...
supposedly they were infused with gold & hence the high price.
