Boss has an old celeron laptop with dvd, batteries wont hold charge but it works if it is plugged in. She's planning on setting it up for her grandson to bang on.
But it has a startup password, and I have no clue how to begin to clear it.
Some googling indicates it might be the same mechanically as a Dell Inspiron 5000E, other googling indicates even if I locate the cmos battery the password might be stored in separate eeprom and won't clear, while others suggest a jumper might clear the password.
Anyone got ideas?
Thanks!
