Reviving a dead motorcycle

i got a 750cc honda thats been in the garage for 4 years.

tank is rusted and im clearing that tomorrow. battery is dead so ima get a new one.

anything else i should do before i start a serious go at cranking it?

If it's got a carb instead of fuel injection, you have to clean that, make sure that there's no fuel in that thing as well (fuel goes bad in bikes pretty quick), basic maintenance, etc.

I'm sure you'll get much better advisce from other, more experienced forum users out there - that reminds me, I have to winterize the bike!

Change all the fluids. Pull the carb and empty any old gas. Crank it a little with the sparkplug wires pulled first then, plug back in and try.
