Revisiting the classics during Christmas.

I'm going to fire up Freedom Force this Christmas. Awesome game.

Maybe some Sacrifice as well.

Anyone else playing the classics?

Sacrifice is damn good stuff. But as I recall, the ending was meh.

Freedom Force is OK but I could never get very far regardless of how I upgraded the Minute Man. Theres a mid-campaign level that kept killing me and eventually I gave up.

Good idea, but no, I'm not. When I want classics lately, I tend to find 'rogue'. But old Command & Conquer and Total Annihilation might be tempting.

I'm with you, brother. I'm going to fire up some Battlefield 1 in your honor. It's set in WW1, can't get much more classic than that!

For some reason Christmas time inspires me to think about 1990s shooters (e.g. Hexen, Heretic, Quake and Quake 2 mission packs). I'll see if I can squeeze in some this year.

Thinking about replaying the Half life franchise again after several years, then again Valve ended it on cliff hanger.... screw you Valve.

My sister and I had a tradition of playing N64 Mario Kart battle-game-mode all throughout Christmas vacation. Sometimes I feel like firing that up again. PC games would be Wolfenstein 3D and B17 Flying Fortress (original).

For me its Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario 64 and Link to the Past. I got each of these as Christmas gifts one year or another. Yes they are on the console, but I include them in PC because I play them on emulators now. Just about all the modern emulators can use image filters to smooth the old pixelated jagged edges or even upgrade the textures. This makes playing on PC > console.
