So I just received my Dell U2412M Monitor. I got it from a 99% rated EBAY seller, however I have received REV A00 instead of the advertised REV A02.

I sent an email to the seller, but in the meantime, does anyone know the difference between Rev. A00, A01, and A02 when it comes to the Dell U2412M. I've been searching Google for a bit, and no one seems to know.

Most likely you'll never be able to find out.

There could be a hundred reasons for a revision. Reduce cost to produce, fix an issue, replace an EOL component.

I have two A02's, but I have no clue what the difference is. I could be the enclosure, the stand, the back, screen, who knows.

But as long as it works well for you, I wouldn't bother with it.

It depends, sometimes it may matter. I know for my current monitor the revision prior to mine had terrible buzzing if the brightness was maxed out, but subsequent revisions didn't.

It really depends, for this specific model I've got no idea. For models in the past the differences can be negligible.
With that said its probably at least a few months older than an A02 would be. Not sure when that specific model was released.

You've probably already seen this but [H] has a long thread about this monitor. A few people talk about that version they received I skimmed but didn't see any specific issues.
