I was planning on building a new comp when I just read a post that mentioned revision 2s for KT133a mobos coming out soon and allowing 170+ mhz FSB. Is this true? If they are going to be out in the next few weeks maybe ill wait, otherwise ill buy now. Also, what is the best mobo to get? I want speed, but I want it to work too. From what I've read it looks like the Asus version would be the best for me. The MSI is tempting, but the speed thing worries me, will it improve w/ the next bios for sure? Thanks for your time.

Refer to this post by OpusOpus, OCworkbench, and Icrontic. As far as I know, these new A1 Northbridge have only been reported on KT7As. I have not seen any on other boards, but I am sure they will appear in due time. As you can tell from the post, these new Abit boards have been out since late Feb in Taiwan. Therefore, I would imagine it would take a few weeks for distribution to arrive here in the US.

The IWill KK266 has used the A1 revision since the beginning. Anyways Im plenty happy with 154 FSB, I can probably go higher but one of my cards is giving out at that speed so Im not worried about anything higher if my cards cant take it anyways!

Going by OpusOpus' post, they are different than KK266's A1. Oh well, read it however you will, but something's definitely been changed when +20mhz suddenly appears.

So all it will do is add higher FSB overclockability? I doubt I'll need that. Besides this there is no good reason to wait then right?
