looking for recommendations / reviews of this system:

Asus p4p800 deluxe
intel 2.8 800mhz - overclocking later maybe
160 gig maxtor ultra HD
ati 9600 pro
enermax CS-58661 case 350w ps
liteon 48x24x48

memory - still looking, 1 gig at least
dvd burner - later

the Machine is for my father who does digital photography/digital retouching.
looking for not having to worry/upgrade for about 2 years.

what do you think? TIA

i would get the plain gain P4P800 and put the move i save into a 9700 NP or maybe even a 9800 NP
for the ram, i recommend buffalo pc3700. you can get 2*512 stick for $198 at newegg. it is rated cas 3 but everyone who has tried it has been able to run it @ cas 2.5

Nothing wrong with getting the deluxe. I would try to get some nice paired 2x512 PC3200 DIMMs. I would also try to get a different hard drive as Maxtor isnt too reilable.

and something else is? Maxtor has worked PERFECTLY for me and many other people that I know.
I'd say all manufactures are about the same sometimes u get a good drive and some don't. So basically get what brand u like best im guessing that would be a maxtor.

I have had both maxtor and Wd hard drives for the longest time, even though i have 4 WD hard drives right now, I would still say that maxtor would outlast better than WD. On the other hand i am addicted to fast hard drives so hence the raptors.....
