Can I put in a request for this? At least there are beta versions of the OS out there (see the thread about where you can download this). I for one am curious what compatability problems there might be, as well as speed differences.

Does Anand have plans on doing this anytime soon?

It's beta, so I wouldn't expect a review anytime soon, but I'm sure that someone that downloads it would run some benchmarks (I'll run them if I get drivers for all of my core hardware, which will be sketchy on a laptop).

Don't you still need 64 bit software? So the benches would have to be 64bit (do they have this?)?

Yeah, there's a 64 bit version of SiSoft Sandra out there, but that's about as far as it goes IIRC.

I got to find my 3rd hard drive around here somewhere but I'll be more than happy to give it a whirl and run the Sandra stuff and if anyone knows of other 64-bit benchmarks just put a link here.

Just installed it, Opera seems to work fine, now to test some other stuff.
