Review a 30 second commercial I made for my Video Production University class...

I had to make a 30 second commercial for my Video Production class...

Give is a look, and tell you what you think... Here.

It's Windows Media FOrmat, low quality, but I have no place to upload a DV, SVCD or even VCD file...

Was supposed to use iMovie, but I went with Ulead MediaStudio on my AthlonXP machine...

I thought the background music was a little too loud. The commercial was good, but it reminded me of some shoe commercial, maybe NIke.

That guy is friends with that Bernard guy from Kenya in one of those Nike videos...this is a kind of homage to that commercial...

So it's a commercial for.. you? 🙂

I think it's pretty cool. It definately feels like a commercial. Yes, I agree.. the sound levels need a bit of adjusting.. but I doubt you'll get marked down for that?

homage

I see. Like I said, the background music was a little loud. That plus the guy's accent (with the music softer, his accent wouldn't be a problem for me) made parts of his dialogue hard to hear.

Yeah pretty good commercial, i don't know how the audio sounds on your comp but the compression is probably messing it up.. but as a film student i gotta say adjusting levels with music and voice is one of the more difficult tasks to do because it sounds different on every set of speakers

I work with him. He's the fastest 1500 M srunner in the US at the collegiate level...

Yeah, the compression must be messing things up because the sound is great when played in the DV/avi, but the WMV sounds worse for balance between the actors voice and the music...

Thanks for all your replies...

ps - the end words are just credits, not important, just required for the class...

really wish I could find a place to upload the SVCD (16 MB) or DVD (31 MB) .mpg files...

Music was a little loud and seemed out of place. I was looking at a Kenyan and listening to something "Santana like".
