I have a .pdf from work that was titled "xxx v2.pdf". There seems to be some information that was removed and I asked to see v1 and was denied. Is there any way that I can revert the file to revision 1 and see what was removed?

And for those that may ask, no this is no illegal. There is nothing more then some numbers that almost anybody here will not understand.

It may not be possible to "go back" to revision 1 but was curious to see if anyone would know how

I don't think it is possible, when numbers are replaced they are literally replaced and the old version goes away.

If you could it would have to have something to do with the undo feature of the original file editor.

If the document was originally .doc and was converted to .pdf then almost certainly that information was destroyed.

The undo feature stores the information only on a temporary basis and may only have been stored in the RAM on the original machine.

ah, thats what I thought. thanks for the help. from the file info it says

content creator: KMBT_C650
Encoding software: konica minolta bizhub c650

I'm guessing the docs were scanned into a copy machine and then created into a .pdf

That figures, possible that the original file is still on the copy machine or the PC that converted the file.
