reversing fan direction & noise

has anyone tried reversing their cpu fan direction (ie having it suck air from the cpu)

ive just discovered my cpu fan all along has been sucking 😛

heatsink itself seems an OK temperature, and if i put the fan on properly the noise increases

any thoughts?

it's a nexus AXP3200 on an xp 2400
