If you believe that being in that type of weather will improve your quality of life, then you should try to live your life somewhere that will immerse you in that weather. Medical condition or not, it is a real situation for you if you decide that it is and you should take steps to address it for yourself.

Hehehhe, I like overcast, cool, and rain...I live in Washington. How much closer do you think I could get?

Not to say that all seasons don't have their niceties, just my order of preference.

Summer and Winter both belong at the bottom of the heap.

Even way up there? But don't you get more use out of your bike in the other seasons?

jesus, they have a name for everything now....wtf happened to just having the blues?

If they convince you that you have a disorder then they can sell you a drug to help with the symptoms.

Well, they can try. I don't believe in drugs for very much. I do think this happens though. But I also realize how delicate our systems are, and that many of the various disorders actually have very firm physiological basis.

And the pussification of America continues....

For the record, I much prefer spring and fall over winter and summer. Summer's too hot and winter's too cold. I get 'cabin fever' in both seasons because I tend to stay inside more often when the temp's not pleasant. No pill's going to fix that either.

Christ, people, suck it up.

When it comes to SAD, plenty of my friends have experienced the same thing, and I know that I felt it long before I heard it called "SAD" - simply enough, when there is less sunlight outside I get the blues a lot more often.

I'm not saying you should go get a prescription because you are down during the winter, but it does seem to exist. The answer, though, isn't drugs - it is to do things that'll cheer you up more or (like I do) preoccupy yourself with more work :p

I'm with you man, I don't like the summer at all. I think for me its because I sweat very easily and living in the southeast it is hot and humid every day during the summer so I am sweating non-stop every second I am outside which is both annoying and embarrassing. I'm not a huge fan of VERY cold weather, I like 50s and 60s, freezing your ass off in the 30s is no better than sweating it off in the 90s & 100s.

When I was a darker person I loved Winter......rain, cold, dark. After getting married and having a couple kids I prefer Summer......warmth, brightness, clarity.
