OK, I've got a Shuttle system and I want to run Serial ATA drives in it, but don't want to use up my PCI slot.
I know they have adapters to plug into PATA drives to use those on a Serial ATA controller card.
Now, since they can do that, I would think that logically, someone, somewhere has made the reverse... A converter that plugs into the IDE header and gives you two SATA ports.
Or am I just hitting the crack pipe waaaay to hard right now?
My reasoning is that I actually stuffed the guts of a normal Shuttle SN45G w/ Rev 1.0 motherboard into a Soldam Polo R case. ( http://www.soldam.com/ )
This case is quite a bit smaller than a normal Shuttle case is, and I need another way to purge some of the heat this thing collects...
