Reverse PCB video cards?

Why is this not a thing yet? There have been several slim SFF builds I would have loved to have made if this were an option, but still no manufacturer has put one out.

Being able to use a PCI-E riser to lay the video card parallel to the motherboard but still have the GPU and CPU facing the same direction allows one singular fan to cool both heatsinks and motherboard components. This would improve airflow, noise, temperatures, and allow for lower volume cases.

It would also allow us as consumers to move away from more expensive, restrictive MITX motherboards, and just use the more common MATX since the video card would simply lay over the additional add-in slots. I've seen SFF builds that use a parallel video card alignment (Falcon Tiki for example), however, the GPU ends up facing the opposite direction from the CPU requiring stock cooling, and these often use MITX motherboards where the overall footprint including the video card would have easily allowed for MATX as far as volume is concerned. And the valuable extra PCB space of a MATX motherboard means more room for better audio, more VRM's and mosfets for higher overclocks, more SATA ports, more RAM slots, etc.
