I don't know if it's good or not...but we sold our house. Today is the closing. Last bit of stuff to pack out, then a bit of cleaning. Our new house is SUPPOSED to close on 12/20....we'll see.
Gonna be living in the little (30') motorhome for a few weeks. That's gonna be fun...

A female western screech owl was hanging out in our oak tree this evening. It took flight when I stepped outside and it circled the yard while calling. A great horned owl responded with some screams. Great horned owls will eat screech owls so I hope it got away.

Yeah, you won't find owls outside of first world countries. We're so lucky... Electric cars, Starbucks on every corner. And owls.

Yesterday I managed to get a 15 year old flatbed scanner working in Linux. It was a test as I hadn't really planned on operating it in Linux, but I got it working. I then rebooted and used it to scan 35-40 year old pictures for the wife. I used Adobe Photoshop 5's WIA interface to operate the scanner in Windows even though HP never (Scanjet 3970) never supported anything above Vista.

"Man, these are good. Ok last handful. Well, alright, I'll have a couple more. Alright, last one. Not enough to bother saving now. Might as well finish the bag..."

Today was my last day of class. In a couple weeks paperwork will be done and I'll have a bs in compsci.

I mean, ok, I already have three other degrees, but it still feels good man.

"I'm sorry, we can't issue your diploma or release your transcript until you return that book you checked out in 2015."

Congratulations!

Ah, it's Friday? That's a good thing. Means I can sleep in Sunday (parents are coming down to visit this weekend and I play bingo w/ my mom tomorrow so no sleep in, fk).

I'm just looking forward to getting off work, relaxing with the folks and having some food, then watching a few new YouTube vids from subscribers, then playing a bit of RDR2 before bed. Sounds good to me!

Booked flights last night for our christmas (well, 26-30th) vacation to my parents' place. I hope Frankenmuth stocked up on fudge...
