I think it would be really funny if I threatened my friend a bit after he embarassed me! How do I make an email look like it is comming from another email address?? Like I send it from my yahoo account but in the from line it says from blahbalh@hotmail.com????

I know the spam people can do it so how do I?

sheesh...you've never configured Outlook Express or some other email program, have you?

That doesn't remove the actual email address from the headers.

this is easily done, but i will not indulge you with the knowledge required.
1) it is illegal to mask your ip when sending e-mail
2) it is also illegal to threaten someone by e-mail, im, aim, etc...
3) i am not going to be part of such an immature thing to do

At least changes the reply-to so the uneducated who click reply will send it to a bogus address.
