A few days ago Since I had a spare watercooler for personal use.I attached a fx53 940 version all up , which was Waiting to be put into a file server,But hey I thoght it would be neat to benchmark it.The dumb thing was dead when I put it in. I got so mad I bit down on it as hard as I could and crushed it lid and all. Do you know whats inside a fx-51?Wood... believe it or not Everything but the core is made out of toothpick wood.I I even broke a piece off, it Tasted just like a toothpick and was shaped simular to when you snap one in half and all the little splinters come off of it..I feel so Jipped about this.I wonder what amd will say when I send them this wood carving, almost like a fake chip.I thoght it was interesting I destroyed the most advanced athlon chip with the most primitive tool, human muscle;Thats my revelation with a fx-53.

Umm... I know several guys at Xtreme took covers off fx's and they never said anything about there being wood underneath. That I saw anyway. Curious.
 
lol thats the first time i ever heard of a person taking the heatspreader off of their new 800 dollar fx-53 and using the wood inside as a toothpick 😀
 
Well thats what you get for buying junk like an FX-53 made out of wood. Go Intel next time. Buy a 3.4 EE like a did and youll be smiling from ear to ear.
 
Umm, go find a benchmark that actually supports that, a FX53 burns a EE anyday... And I think this dude is either stupid, or got ripped...

According to Tomshardware.com a 2.9Ghz Fx 53 outperforms a 4.0Ghz P4 EE, just wait until the Athlon 64 4000+ comes out, which will be superior to the FX-53.

Either that or bestbargainpc (shady from what I've heard) sent him a fake chip in the hopes that he wouldn't bother to RMA it.

Lol he bought an Emergency Edition and thinks it stacks up against mark's Dual Opterons? This guy is nothing but FUD; I thought Intel employees would have better things to do than troll AT and trash AMD products in complete opposition of every benchmark on every site out there.

However I can't tell if the OP actually got ripped off or is just straight joking. Wants to tell us he bit an 800 dollar processor and found a toothpick? That's just weird.
