I just built a new computer with a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. I have an older 160GB HDD that was on my old system with WindowsXP 32-bit. I need to transfer family stuff, music and videos from old to new. Is it as easy as plugging in SATA and PWR, then dragging files from one HDD to another? Will there be any conflict with Windows XP 32-bit on old drive and Windows 7 64-bit on new SSD? Any special precautions?

Once I get everything over to new HDD, I was going to reformat old drive and keep for extra storage. Thanks.

There will no conflict and it is as easy as you said. Obviously while the PC is off (some people...) connect the SATA and PWR to your 160GB, boot up and it will come up in my computer. If you open the drive you will see all the Windows and Program Files folders but just ignore them, unless there is data you want to extract from them.

Once done, format via my computer or disk management, turn off, remove drive, done.
