Arrrrgh, im so confused on what to do here. I"ve went and ordered my new Athlon 64 system, complete with Asus A8V and 3200+ *3500+ are no where to be found and asinine in price*

I have a gig of Corsair XMS 3700 3-4-4-8 Ram left over from my P4 setup. Im wondering is this stuff worth reusing on my Athlon setup or are those latency timings gonna murder me performance wise. As far as oveclocking, if im able to reach 3500+ speeds, I"ll consider good enough and anything beyond that is a bonus, im not going to go full out overclocking, its just to risky and not worth the effort on my part.

That being said, should I shell out the dough for a new set of Corsair XMS XL 3200 LED memory or would the OCZ Platinum reversion 2 be a better choice? I just like the Corsair with the cool LED"s they have on them.

Any incite would be great so I can finish ordering my system and have it here before christmas for me to play with. Thanks all!

The timings may hurt you a little, but should be okay. If you have the dough and aren't going to spend it on anything else I would say the OCZ RAM might just do ya better. I'm not completely sure as of yet really (my A64 rig is a year or more away) But I have found that OCing a 64 is quite a bit different from a regualt Intel or AMD. If you really want the LEDs xoxide.com sells a light kit that will snap onto your ram so you can have the goofy lights.
