The following week, which is finallly my Spring Break, I plan on spending a lot of time with a dear old acquaintance of mine?an acquaintance named Boredom. He and I have known each other for as long as I remember, and have made it through some God-awful times together.
And while we have had a tremendous past together, and given that there?s a lot of history between us, I believe it would be in the best interest of both of us that we start seeing less of each other. Yes, I realize that I cannot simply throw away nearly two decades of a friendship, one that has seen nothing but tremendous loyalty and devotion. Though he has always been there when I?m alone, life moves on. It will not be regretful to me if I never see him again, because regardless I know he will always be close by, somehow.
Strangely enough though, despite having known him for such a long time I?ve never really had a chance to tell my other friends or any other of my acquaintances about him for some reason, until now?for it was in fact him that inspired me to write this.
