I have a defective GTX 760 by EVGA that I bought off Amazon.

Would you recommend going through EVGA RMA process or through Amazon's?

Edit: Oooops wrong forum please move.

Moved from MD&G (how?) to VC&G

AMAZON!

They give a refund with no hassle.

Should I go with refund or replacement?

I am new to this :D

Also do I return all the accessories for the video card or do Amazon only want my video card itself?

Amazon doesn't repair video cards, so you have to ship them everything back. When I've sent Amazon stuff back, I typically asked for a refund and then just placed a new order since I would get the replacement faster. Check prices on a replacement to see if that makes sense - if the price of a new video card has gone up since your purchase, ask Amazon for an exchange. If it has gone down, go the refund/repurchase route.

I've never had to return a card to EVGA but typically when you return defective hardware to vendors you have to get an RMA#, return the product, wait for them to repair or replace and send it back to you. Last time I did this with an MSI motherboard it took 10 days, so by all means, go through Amazon like all have said.

I would return to amazon. Basically, while I do really like EVGA - you never know what will happen if you RMA directly to them. You might have to pay for shipping. You might get a refurbed card in return (not sure). By the time you get a replacement, you may be past your 30 day return window at amazon.

I say screw that nonsense. Again - I'll say it again, I like EVGA, their CS is amazing. However, it's just less hassle to return directly to amazon for many reasons. Primarily, you can reset your 30 day return window and you can get a full refund without having to pay one cent for shipping. To me that is far preferable to what EVGA can offer for RMA.

Amazon. Some people prefer to purchase through Amazon, instead of other etailers, because with Amazon it's so effortless to return/exchange/refund things.
