Does anyone know when returning items to newegg, do you have to return the free game as well? When I bought my video card it came with a free game. But when I got the RMA number it just said the video card, it doesn't say anything about the game, does anyone know?

I'm quite certain that the free game is considered a gift and you don't have to return it with your card.

When I ordered my EVGA 8800GTS 512 it was bundled with a "free" copy of Crysis; however, it carried a nearly $50 premium over the vanilla version. The two versions had different item numbers so you might want to check for your case.

Yes, you will need to return the game as well as it is considered an in-box accessory/bonus. According to Newegg policy, all packaging and accessories must be included in the box. Otherwise, they'll charge you for the game and hold your RMA.

I didn't return the free stuff, and told them I was keeping it as compensation (they didn't ask, i just mentioned it). They didn't seem to care.
This was a couple of years ago, however.. policies do change. Just sayin. It doesn't make much sense for them to ask for a free game back whose CD key is already in use.

Burn a copy and you're set with the cd key, LOL.

Encouraging outright fraud is a good way to earn a free vacation. Don't make a habit of such encouragement unless you really want said vacation.
