Returning software to BestBuy.

I have a game that I bought there, but I have no receipt. I paid with cash. It is sealed.

Will they give me store credit?

What if it doesn't have one of those "BestBuy" price tags on it? I might not have gotten it at BestBuy... I forget.

If it's sealed they probably would.

If it's been opened, then they will probably only exchange it for the same game.


If you didn't get it at Best Buy, then figure out where you actually got it and return it there. Although something tells me you didn't buy it in the first place.

as long as it has a factory seal on it and they stock the item, they should give you store credit.

They *may* take it back and give store credit. I tried to return a PS2 game once and they said if I had paid with a CC they could look it up. With a cash purchase I would need the receipt.

a few years ago i tried to return something with no receipt. They said you MUST have the receipt.

Most stores require a receipt - it probably varies from CSR to CSR though.
