I bought a pair of nike running shoes and wore them around the house and they fit fine and felt fine. Took them out for a run and came back in and both of my heals were rubbed bloody. Now there are blood stains on the shoes and they are dirty from running. I can't take them back to the store like this. Will Nike accept them since I can't wear them without being in pain?

Have you ever run before? You might have to develop some calysts on your ankles?
Nike use to take back shoes for niketown credit but im not sure about now since so many people took advantage of it.

Aren't you supposed to break in the shoes for like a week before you do a run?

That's why I suggest buying running shoes from a dedicated running/fitness store. Not a chain place in the mall.

The little Mom & Pop places tend to warranty things like this better. I had a pair of running shoes that I tried out for a few days. They felt fine around the house, but when I went for a run, the heel cup broke through the padding and dug into my heel and made it bleed.

They took the shoes back without issue. If you can convince them that it's a manufacturing defect they should take them back.

I forgot, should've mentioned New Balance.

BTW, if you take it back w/ blood and dirt, the store will probably call the cops on you and question you about the recent missing children.

1. Be a pansy and try to return it.
2. Break the shoes in and let your heels adjust to the shoes (you'll develop callouses over time).

As other people have mentioned, break the shoes in and wear longer socks.

my new asics gave me some heel blisters the first couple times using them and I also got discouraged. I kept wearing them though just for leisure and now they seemed to be broken in and no longer give me problems
