When returning a item you can only buy online do you have to return it through mail to office depot again or can you return it to any Office Depot store even if they don't sell it locally?

You have to call a 1800 number and they will pick the item up and credit you through your online method. Bringing it back to the store might be a waste of time, because the POS system might not be able to call up the item, usually because they cost different or is taxed differently. Sometimes, you have a discontinued system and they can't take it back at the store (staight back to the wharehouse).

Do you have to pay shipping and handling to return a online order back to office depot when you call the 1800 number and they pick up the item and credit you through your online method?
