Been out of the DC thing for a while, in large part cos I've been mostly running on a laptop. I'm about to put a new rig to go and I'm looking for suggestions on what to run.

Its going to be a mobile athlon xp rig, so ideally something that runs well on one of those

mech, yes it's me 🙂 i'm amazed my account was still here, not used it in 4 years or so

btw, that tnt2 is still running great, thanks man

as to to the xpm, its going to be in a htpc (well, more like a gaming/hifi pc in an htpc case) but i'm still speccing it out.

only response to a question on matx boards of mobile xp ocing got me a reponse that i should look at socket 764 semprons instead

You might drop a PM to DAPUNISHER, he is endlessly helpful and has done some microATX OC'ing with AthlonXP's 🙂

 
MadMerc you old so and so. Hi there. Feds still exist in a rather disorganised fashion. Engineer pops in and our occasionally. In the main we have been doing SETI classic as a payback for the effort the SETI team put in for us in our DPC battle.

It's nearly over though now and we have completed >140k wu.

We have a few other things on the go. DPAD springs to mind. (It's got cool graphics if you want to run it in .scr mode)

Motherboard forum 🙂

Kinda decided to get a cheap socket a board for now and stick with my 1800+ a bit longer, than reevalute when i can afford the rest of the htpc kit
