Their communist laws er return policy has a half life of one week...

AMAZING what CUSA's site will tell you: 😛

Returns
At CompUSA, we believe in being fair to our customers. If you are not satisfied with a product you purchased from us and you return the product with the original receipt or invoice within 21 days of purchase or invoice date, you may exchange the product or receive a refund. Items must be in new condition, with the original box, packaging, manuals, accessories, and UPC code. CompUSA will not accept the return of any item if the UPC code has been removed from the packaging.
NOW we know

But,,,,, we already knew. 😛

But . . . . you seemed (so) unsure in your posts . . . calling them a "bet".

bets are off . . . now 😉

😀

WHATEVER you do, wait until the "last minute" to cut your UPC out (or after the 21 day exchange period is over). 😉

Well some good news.

I went to CompUSA tonight with my brother in law and both our hardrives. Got to the retunrs desk and were confronted by spotty looking kid with glasses. I explained our situation and he said that because the UPC was gone he would only exchange the drives.

I used to work in computer retail, and knowing procedures and that this peon couldn't make a decision I asked to speak to the manager. Well Jerry came to the desk, I explained the situation and he gave in store credit. Sweet. I had the entire box and contents.

So then its my brother in laws turn, he has everything but the box and packaging. So spotty Robert says, exchange only. Again I ask to speak to the manager, Jerry. Jerry clearly didn't care and obviously said something like "Just give him instore credit, and stop wasting my time".

So we both walk out with store credit of $160, they said we had to wait for the $40 from our rebate checks. I'm not complaining!

I'm impressed. I don't normally get that sort of level of service at my local ChumpUSA. for a reasonable manager at that location.
