Well, I was unlucky and got one with a bad pixel. I've been told that it's normal to find a bad pixel or two with an LCD. I've also been told that there's a certain number of bad pixels that is considered acceptable due to cost of manufacturing a LCD that is perfect. It wasn't that noticable, but I knew it would drive me freakin nuts. I didn't want to keep returning it until I got a good one. I really loved the design and the picture quality was awesome. I don't know if it was worth $800 though. Also, Sony doesn't have XP certified drivers for it and in the display properties it would show up as "plug and play monitor". Anyway, I picked up a new Sony 17" CRT for only $270 (after rebate), and I'm happy. I think games look a lot better on this CRT and text (web surfing) looked a lot better on the LCD.
