Return to Castle Wolfenstien memory error

I can play the game just fine, but whenever I die, I get this error message:



<< The instruction at "0x00435e18" referenced memory at "0x2226fdc8". The memory could not be "read". >>



After that, it kicks me back to the desktop, and I have to reload RTCW again (very annoying). Ideas?
