When I load RTCW it feezes and I get a BSOD (blue screen of death) or a nv4_disp.dll looping error. This will occur most of the time it is very annoying. I know there is an issue with the nividia 23.1 driver and Windows XP . When i play RTCW it happens all the time. Please help.

Install win98se, run it again and see all BSOD problems disapear. I've tried for weeks to get XP to work, no f*cking way. Now back to win98se/win2000:)

This issue has been in the forums for weeks. Download the latest BIOS for your motherboard and download the latest 437 4-in-1s and it should fix the problem.

Windows XP Pro, GF3 23.11, 761/686B works fantastically for me. RtCW /does/ work under NVIDIA + XP.

You might want to remove 1 stick and try... My video card driver's would go BSOD if I fill all 3 slot's on my VIA Chipset board. This happens on both Nvidia and ATI cards. Via has had/has stability problems with all Dimm slot's filled on some boards. I overclock my CPU also. I leave 1 DIMM open and no BSOD problems. It sux i know.

Try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it from another drive. It might be an I\O conflict like I had. A BIOS flash cured mine but it couldnt hurt for you to try. Good Luck!

I can't seem to get RtCW bright enough, and also Everquest as well. I have an older monitor (Princeton Graphics EO70) and the brightness is all the way up...could it be just worn out? Web pages are fine though.

Maybe it's time to look into a new flatscreen :)
