Return to Castle Wolfenstein Platinum PC, $4.98 @ Target NOT YMMV

Target price drop on Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Platinum Edition with Enemy Territory add-on $4.98. This is an excellent game if you are playing it on the network or stand alone. If you have a 3D card ala Nvidia or ATI, show off its true potential (DirectX 9.0) For$4.98, you can get a few for your LAN Party! This is not a YMMV deal, but is at all Targets!

Ack. Not another legitimate reason to step foot in that horrid store. 😛

Thanks for the post, CocoGdog, I tried the CW:ET demo, and I thought it was kind of neat. A friend of mine has been setting up a LAN gaming room, this game might make a nice diversion from UT from time to time. For five bucks, how can you go wrong?

WOW!

I'm gonna have to check my local Target for stock. This game grabbed me by the balls one entire weekend. One of the best gaming weekends EVER!

Damn, I wanted to get that game for multiplayer for almost a year... Gonna check it out today, I just hope it is indeed national and they my store has some left... Thanks for the info.

Dang... went to the two local stores and neither of them had it. Target also doesn't have it on their website so I won't be able to pricematch to BB or CC either... :x

just for your information: Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory is a free downloadable game.

You don't have to pay for it. You can download it anywhere. fileplanet, 3dgamers

The older Return to Castle Wolfenstein you do have to pay for. So basically you are paying 5 bucks for an older game.

The multiplayer is amazing on both games. Wolf:ET doesn't have a single player. RTCW single player is so so.

NO! Do not get in on this deal!

You will want a better video card and then you'll want a bigger monitor and then you'll be b!tching to your DSL/Cable provider for more bandwidth....

This game will lead to nothing but trouble!
😀

Last time I got on for some multiplayer (I just have RTCW, I didn't know you could just download it, I might look into that) there were only about 15 people online.

go to planet-rtcw.com

or rtcwfiles.com

get the latest patches/updates/mods etc and make this rather small gaming community bigger!

its a great game still after 2-3 years.

Went yesterday, tag on shelf sez $19.99 or so, checked price on the self-checkers, same price. That's in Denver mind you, so I guess this IS VERY YMMV. :frown:

Ditto, YMMV.

Checked Columbus Targets, 2, both price checks at a register, not just the self-check in an isle, rang to $29.99 (or maybe it was $19.99).

YMMV

whoa, thats crazy. It ran fine and I never thought to update it, never even checked if there were updates. Thanks, I feel dumb for not knowing that.

Picked one of two left at the Target I went to. Figured having ET on CD was worth the $5, along with another CD Key. I can't believe this is $5. I felt like buying both just because it was such a good deal.
