I just downloaded the Return to Castle Wolfenstein MultiPlayer test. I'm trying to run it and it gives me the folowing error. I'm assuming that openGL is not working for some reason. I'm running this on a PIII-650 Laptop with an ATI Rage Mobility Video Card.

Any thoughts? Thanks

You could try running your desktop in 16 bit color. Try changing the resolution in the game to 800 x 600 or higher. There are reports that there was a corrupt version on the file from Gamespot. I'm not sure if you would be able to even open it--let alone play it. I know the ATi rage had some driver issues with OpenGL. Are they the latest drivers?

The default Windows XP drivers don't have full OpenGL support. It's as simple as that. It does the same thing to me when I run Wolf3D with the default XP AIW Radeon drivers.

If I load the Win2k drivers, it works just fine.

Thanks.. I loaded the windows 2000 drivers and it works fine now.

Any idea why the Windows XP drivers don't have full opengl support and is there anyway to use those and get the opengl support?

Thanks,

Josh

HOw does the game look? I saw some screen shots of it a while back and it looked pretty damn tight.

Cant wait to play it.

It looks pretty good, but not as amazing as everyone was touting it to be IMO. The fire effects are really cool though. :D

But for some reason I don't have sound. This is on XP Professional with a SB Live! value card.
