If that is the case, then why is every single store carrying this game in the four states I have seen it (KS, MO, IL, OH) selling it for 54.99?

Why is this game so friggin expensive??? Reviewers were saying the single player game only gave 10 hours of gameplay. Still want it though. I sense a Best Buy $29.99 sale comming :)

I bought it on last Tue at BB for $54.99 too. Waiting on it to drop to do a AmexBlue PM as long as that has not been screwed up totally. I am sure inside of 60days someone will have it for at least $30.

FYI, I ditched the single player pretty quick and went to the multiplayer. Single was good, but not as fun as the multi imho. The new maps are great and the game has a more polished feel from the demos.

The beta 1 is my son's favorite game. He says it is much better than Q3 for multiplaying because there are no cheaters. I see this game on the boardz but can't MP of course, so may have to buy this one.

Because they know folks are willing to pay more than MSRP for this one. I don't really object to overpricing, you don't have to buy from them. What I do object to is the outright lying all these stores have been doing with the MSRP of this title.

Someone who was involved with the game came out (VoodooExtreme?) and announced the MSRP was officially $49, not $59 EBgames was overcharging.

Can't you just get a pricematch at Best Buy if you find it cheaper somewhere within the next 30 days? Thats what i was going to do unless they have some kind of policy against that for software.

where can I download this DEMO? All i could find after an hour of searching was a multiplayer test only for Linux. Can someone give me a link to it? I was disappointed when I got a Cd of it from my Maxim subscription but there was no playable demo on it. just a bunch of videos and informative interviews.

You can try MusicCity.com. They have a new program liek napster, but works with video, software, and even music.
