Return policy at Jewellery stores?

A friend of mine bought a ring for this chick for xmas (325$). He already paid for it and paid for enlarging the ring from a 6 to an 8. Anyway, his gf admitted to him that she cheated on him a few weeks ago.

He has yet to pick the ring up, its still at the store, so obviously he doesn't need it now. Do Jewelery stores accept returns?

i don't know about jewelry stores, but the jewelry counter at sam's club was ready to give me a full refund on a 2K diamond ring i had bought........7 months ago

Can probably get refund on the ring minus that 5%, but not the resizing fee.
