I am buying a monitor very soon, and my favorite place to buy is Newegg...can anyone tell me how good that policy is with monitors? I know that Dell has good policies so maybe i'll buy one off of there, but I would like to know how good Newegg is with that. Thanks for any responses! :)

I tend to buy monitors at local retail stores as shipping costs on crts can be quite high. I can also see the monitor on display, often get a substantial rebate, and it is convient if you need to return it. I have also bought used monitors at computer shows for a fraction of the cost of new and been quite happy with them. My wife uses a 21" w/Trinitron that I bought for $100us. It looks great and she has had it for about a year now.

ditto on that one. it's a real PITA to return big crts because they weigh a ton, and the packaging is huge. Given the current prices, it's not worth saving $25 online if you even have to ship it once.

I would buy from a store, but the closest one is Best Buy...and the only 19" Flat CRT there is the Viewsonic A90f+ and it looks like a real peice of crap. I really don't have the urge to drive 25 mins out of my way to go to CompUSA, so I am banking on buying from Newegg or Dell (people said it is best to buy monitors from Dell in case something goes wrong).
